Queries are not calculating a SUM consistently

A saved ad-hoc constituent query returns different results than a brand new ad-hoc query with the same criteria
The two queries do not match exactly.  For the Revenue\Payment method is not equal to Gift-in-Kind filter in the new query, the users do not have the “Only return records that do not have a value equal to the selected value” checkbox marked. Marking that box and rerunning the query will produce the same number as the original.
