AVS (Address Verification Services) checks are provided as additional fraud protection to verify the customer billing address submitted with online transactions. A decline due to AVS means the donor did not enter the correct billing information associated with their card or the AVS settings are too restrictive in cases that the card holder is located outside the United States.

To resolve:
  1. Confirm the billing address fields are complete and correct as the card holder has on file with their bank, then process the transaction again.
  2. Change AVS level in BBMS to Light to allow the card holder's transaction to pass without requiring a validation on the AVS information.
