After sending out an email through Blackbaud NetCommunity, the email reports may show several bounced email attempts to various addresses. The email address specified in the message does not receive failure notification emails for all bounced emails - only some. What is accounting for this difference?
Failure notification emails are not generated for emails that failed to be delivered because the recipients had previously reported emails from your organization as Spam. When a user reports this, NetCommunity intercepts any subsequent messages from sending to those individuals. Since the failure notifications are generated from the receipients' email server(s), there would be no failure message to deliver back to you.
