The F9 version available for download as of October 2011 on the Blackbaud website is:
Excel F9 Client    4.2.8.5
F9 for FW             4.2.0.1
F9 Server             4.2.0.2

A change was made for a reported issue on the way  data items were pulling to spreadsheets.  If you do not use data items on your spreadsheet and are not having the issue, you can continue to use the version above.  Data items were showing for some accounts that did not have them.

F9 can be downloaded from F9.com, Downloads, Blackbaud, F9 Version 4.2 for Fundware. You will have to fill out a screen with some information, but in one of the required fields you will select "Updating Existing Product".

The slight number differences are:
The F9 version available for download on the F9 website as of Feb 2012 is:
Excel F9 Client    4.2.8.5
F9 for FW             4.2.1.0
F9 Server             4.2.0.2
  1. If you download a newer version, save it first to your server.
  2. Save copies of your existing spreadsheets to another location just as a precaution. (Installing F9 doesn't actually touch any of the existing spreadsheets).
  3. Open Excel where currently used and remove the F9 Add-in.
  4. Add the program in the same way you do any others through the equivalent of Add/Remove Programs.
  5. A wizard will ask if you want to Repair, Modify or Remove.  Select 'Remove'.
  6. Once completed, run the executable again, browsing to the folder you previously used (which is now empty) and the new version will reinstall in the same place.
  7. Go through the process (as in the Readme_FundWare.pdf with the installation and stored in the F9 folder) to again connect Excel to the F9 Add-in.
  8. When complete, in Excel, Addins, F9, check the version numbers which should now be:

Excel F9 Client    4.2.8.5
F9 for FW             4.2.1.0
F9 Server             4.2.0.2

At V4.2 you needed a serial number and authorization code. These will still be present and will not be required again on the upgrade.

The F9 integration is supported by Infor. Questions regarding resources, functionality, or troubleshooting with the F9 solution can be directed to Infor Support.
