Credit card process run during BBPS server maintenance incorrectly shows all gifts as processed

During scheduled BBPS server maintenance, a process to generate credit card payments and charge the cards was run in error.  As a result, all of the gifts show as successfully processed in the front end of CRM.  However, because BBPS was down during the processing window, the majority of the payments were not sent through BBPS to the credit card processor, and were not charged.  This results in a discrepancy between what is showing in CRM and what actually happened.

Please note: When server maintenance is scheduled for BBPS, users should not schedule to process any credit card payments.

Credit card processing and other EFT processes should not be run during times of BBPS maintenance.  The only way to identify which cards were properly processed and which were not is to check with the bank and credit card processor to determine which transactions were actually charged, and then re-process the ones that weren't.

Download and install the latest patch, which contains all fixes from previous patches. If you are running an older version, download and install the latest version and then the patch.
