BBMS accounts cannot be deleted once created. The merchant account can be marked inactive in the Blackbaud software or all account configurations tied to BBMS in the Blackbaud Merchant Services web portal can be marked inactive. An inactive Merchant Account will not process transactions and can be activated again if needed.

To mark a BBMS Account configuration inactive:
  1. Log into the BBMS web portal 
  2. Account Management > General settings
  3. From Account configurations click the ellipses next to the account configuration > Edit
  4. Select the box for Inactive
  5. Click Save
  6. Repeat for any other account configurations if applicable
