How to properly format the statement descriptor phone number when setting up a Blackbaud Merchant Services account

A valid statement descriptor phone number must be in the following format: NNNNNNNNNN (10 digits)
The statement descriptor phone number should be formatted without dashes, i.e. NNNNNNNNNN in order to print properly on the donor's credit card statements. Also, since the Blackbaud Merchant Service server is based in the US, the leading zero for UK phone numbers should be dropped to conform with International Dialing code format. For example, if the phone number begins with 0207 then the phone number entered  should instead begin with 207.  The statement descriptor should contain no more than 10 characters.
