Step 1 – Verifying there is an email address on the Primary Persona of your user account
  1. Log into eTapestry
  2. Click Home in the menu bar
  3. Click Manage User Preferences
  4. Click Personas to view the Primary Persona for your user account
  5. Verify that the email address you want to use is filled into the Email field
  6. Click Save And under the Tasks menu 
Step 2 – Setting up your Security Question
  1. After verifying your email address, click Preferences in the header to navigate to the Preference page for your user account
  2. Select a Security Question from the drop-down list in the Security Preferences section
    • If you already have a security question, you can click Reset Your Security Question if you want to change it.
  3. After selecting a Security Question, type the answer in the Answer field
  4. Click Save And under the Tasks menu

How the reset password process works
Once your email address and Security Question are set up you will have the ability to reset your own password, should you ever forget it in the future.      
  1. On the eTapestry login page, click Can’t Access Your Account
  2. Fill in your Login Id and Email address and then click Continue
  3. Enter the answer to your Security Question and then click Reset Password
If you answered the question correctly, you will be redirected back to the eTapestry login page and an email will be sent to you containing a temporary password. 

Note: The password the email contains is usually complex.  Many people try to copy and paste the password onto the eTapestry login page only to find it doesn't work.  This is because when you highlight the password you usually will highlight a space before or after the password.  When you copy the password you also copy that space.  This will count as a character and cause the login attempt to fail  It is better to hand type the password rather than copy and paste it.
