FaWeb timeout warning does not display

 When actively working in FaWeb the timeout warning does not pop up with the option marked on to display.
Verify the following:
  • Pop-up blocker is disabled for the internet browser being used
  • The timeout settings have been updated in all the appropriate places

If the timeout setting is set to the default of 20 minutes and you have the option to display the warning message, the timeout warning will appear as long as the pop-up blocker is turned off on your internet browser.

If the timeout setting is less than 20 minutes, no warning pops up. If changing the timeout setting, it needs to be set in 3 places:

   - web.config file -> authentication timeout
<authentication mode="Forms">
<forms loginUrl="forms/login.aspx" name=".ASPXFORMSAUTH" timeout="20" />
</authentication>
   - web.config file -> session state timeout
<sessionState
mode="InProc"
stateConnectionString="tcpip=127.0.0.1:42424"
sqlConnectionString="data source=127.0.0.1;user id=sa;password="
cookieless="false"
timeout="20"
/>
   - IIS/Default Site/FAWeb -> Session Properties, Time-out (ASP)
