General ODBC Error: [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Login failed for user when logging into the RE mobile app

After activating The Raiser's Edge Mobile service, a customer receives the following error when logging into their database from their mobile device: General ODBC Error: [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Login failed for user '[host]\[machine name]'. Native error: 18456 at Blackbaud.PIA.RE7.SuperData&-2.CSuperDataClass.Init(StringsDataSourceName, StringUserName, String PassWord, String Schema) at Blackbaud.Mobile.Adapter.RE.REContext.SetSuperData()...
Resolved in Raiser's Edge version 7.92.5508.5

Alternate Solution:

On the workstation or server that is hosting the mobile service,
  1. Go to Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Services.
  2. Right click on Blackbaud Mobile Service and choose Properties.
  3. Go to the Log On tab.
  4. Choose Log on as: This account.
  5. Username: Email address of the account running the mobile service (Jane.Doe@blackbaud.com) or the Network Login (ex: DOMAIN\JaneDoe)
  6. Password/Confirm password: customer's email address password.
  7. Click OK to save these changes.
