BBNC\Unhandled exception when marking Self-Acknowledge box in RE plugin

Donor makes a tribute gift, and does not specify an acknowledgee
While linking the tribute in RE plugin, check the box "Self-acknowledge Honor/Memorial"
Get an unhandled exception when creating the link:
