Error uploading image. The file size may be too large

NetCommunity: Error uploading image. The file size may be too large when they are not

You get this Error when you try to upload images, it says that they are to large however the file size was under 100kb and still received the error

The specific error message text may also display as "Error: Cannot upload image. Either the image exceeds the size limit, or your website certificate is invalid."
This is related to the SSL offloading in the IIS environment.  There is a bug in flash that does not validate SSL properly in certain environments.

Be sure to download and install all of the latest Microsoft security patches for IIS and .NET.

As a workaround, you can disable Flash in the browser in order to successfully upload images.

Chrome:
1. Type chrome://plugins into the URL bar
2. Click to disable Flash

Firefox:
1. Go to Tools > Plug-ins > Add-ons
2. Select to disable Shockwave Flash

Internet Explorer:
1. Go to Tools > Internet Options > Programs > Manage Add-ons
2. Select "All Add-ons" from the "Show" dropdown
3. click on Shockwave, and select Disable

Safari:
1. In Safari > Preferences > Security > Web Content
2. Uncheck the box next to "Enable plug-ins"
