NOTE: These steps should be performed on only one workstation or server that will remain on and connected to the internet 24/7.​ If Blackbaud Web Services is installed on the same server as Raiser's Edge Web Services (for NetCommunity), connectivity issues can occur for NetCommunity or the Mobile Event App. 
 
  1. On the Raiser's Edge bar, click Web Services
     
  2. Under Available Services, click Blackbaud Web Services.  The Blackbaud Web Services moves from under Available Services to Installed Services.
     
  3. Under Installed Services, click Blackbaud Web Services.  The Configuration Options screen appears 
     
  4. Generate the System Key OR Install the service (depending on whether or not Blackbaud hosts your Raiser's Edge database):
    • If Blackbaud hosts your Raiser's Edge database:
      1. Click Mobile Event Management 
      2. Click Generate Key 
      3. Enter your Site ID and an email address associated with your organization's Blackbaud Customer Account
      4. Click Finish
         
    • If your Raiser's Edge database is NOT hosted by Blackbaud:
      1. Click Install Service.  The Blackbaud Web Services Setup Wizard appears.
      2. Click the Open button to browse to a location in which to install Blackbaud Web Services.  Click Next
      3. Click Install.  Blackbaud Web Services is installed to the location you specified
         
    • After the installation completes, click OK.  You will be returned to the Configuration Options screen
       
    • Under Features, click Mobile Event Management.  The Mobile Event Management screen appears
       
    • Click Generate Key.  The Customer Information screen appears.
       
    • Enter your organization's Site ID and an email address associated with your Blackbaud Customer Account.  Click Finish.  The Mobile Event Management web service should now be active.
       
    • Provide the System Key to users so they can log into The Raiser's Edge Mobile Event Management App on their iPads:
      1. After you install Blackbaud Web Services, from the Web Services page, click Blackbaud Web Services under Installed Services.  The Configuration Options screen appears.
      2. Under Features, click Mobile Event Management
        • Click Email to email the System Key directly to users from your own email client.
        • Click Copy to clipboard to copy the System Key into another application so that it can be distributed to the appropriate users.

      NOTE: Users will not be able to log into the Mobile Event Management App without the System Key
