After upgrading to Windows 8 or when you purchase a new computer/tablet with Windows 8 installed, sales documents are not printing. This occurs even though the workstation component is installed and the workstation is configured for printing.
Windows 8 comes preinstalled with two versions of Internet Explorer. The version available from the new tile based desktop is the mobile version of IE. We need the full version of IE which is available from the classic desktop.
To access the full version of Internet Explorer:
1. Hold down the Windows key on the keyboard and press the D key at the same time 2. You should now be on the classic Windows 8 desktop and see the icon for Internet Explorer in the bottom of the screen 3. Click on this icon which will launch the full version of IE 4. Browse to your Altru site 5. In the top right of IE, click the settings item 6. Choose "Add site to Start screen"
This will create an icon on the new desktop that you can use to launch Altru using the full version of Internet Explorer.
