When using a scanner in a Gift Batch, scanning gifts removes the default Fund information

 In a gift batch the defaults have been set per column
When entering a Barcode from a scanner and tabbing to the next row the default Fund is removed
If you encounter this issue in the latest version and patch of Raiser's Edge please contact support and reference this article.

Alternative Solution
Go to Tools in Batch and select User Options
Then select Default batch information 
Mark the option to Auto-insert by field- when focus is placed in the field
You will have to tab through each column to get the default information to populate.
