When seeking version information to compare with Blackbaud system requirements, be sure to note the version type, usually noted like Microsoft Word 2003 or Microsoft Office 2007. In Microsoft Word 2010 and later, the bit-version of 32-bit or 64-bit also needs to be noted. Here is how to find this information in different versions of Word:

Microsoft Word 2003 and earlier versions
  1. Open Word
  2. In top menu bar, go to Help and select About Microsoft Word

Microsoft Word 2007
  1. Open Word
  2. Press the Office button in upper left
  3. Press Word options at bottom of Office button menu screen
  4. Click on Resources in left menu
  5. Find about Microsoft Office Word 2007 and press About beside it

Microsoft Word 2010
  1. Open Word
  2. Press File
  3. Click on Help in left menu
  4. Version information will be listed on right under About Microsoft Word

Microsoft Word 2013
  1. Open Word
  2. Press File
  3. Click on Account in left menu
  4. Click on About Word in middle right of page
  5. Version information will appear in a new window called About Microsoft Word

Microsoft Word 2016
