Gift Package not updating through Gift Batch Appeals

 When doing a gift batch with appeals, the batch doesn't automatically add the package that is specified on the appeals tab of a constituent record.

If you have a gift batch with an appeal but do not have a package included, the batch cannot automatically add the package when committed without knowing what package to apply.

You will need to specify the package in order for the batch to automatically update it.

Please follow the steps below to do this:
  • Open a new Gift Batch.
  • Click on Tools -> Edit Batch Setup
  • Click on Fields
  • Add the field "Package" as well as "Appeal" if not already done so.
  • Click on Data Entry
  • Specify the Package name (and appeal)
  • Commit the batch
  • The package will have been updated along with the appeal.
