Approaches are the means you use to raise money for your organization. They can include any activity like a direct mailing, a phonathon, or a dinner party. Keeping track of approaches can help you analyze how different types of asks perform with your constituents.
The Approach field is not required when you add a gift, although your organization can choose to make it required.
To add an Approach, you can take the following steps:
1. Click on Management in the menu bar 2. Click on Approaches in the Donation Strategies tile 3. Click on New Approach from the Task Menu. 4. Type in the name of the Approach. 5. Enter a Description if you like, which will allows one to better identify the Approach internally. 6. Enter in a Goal if you like to track a monetary amount you would like to reach. 7. Type in a Quantity if you want to track the total number of gifts you would like to see come in for the Approach. 8. Click Save And under the Tasks menu.
