This occurs on transactions which were brought into Raiser's Edge using the Sphere connector and the Amount of the Registration transaction is less than the Price on the corresponding RE Unit.

This generally occurs because a Discount Code was used when the registration was purchased.

You can correct this negative value for the current registration in the batch via the following steps:
  1. Click on the gift displaying a negative value
  2. Click on the "Gift" menu and go to Links > Event > Registration Fees
  3. Change the entry in the "Amount Applied" section to equal the "Gift amount" and click OK
  4. Change the Receipt Amount to $0
  5. Save these changes or Commit the batch
To prevent this from happening in future batches, map registration types (BB721163) instead of allowing Raiser's Edge to auto match.
