The capacity must first be set up on the actual Event Record in the Raiser's Edge. Once you have established the event capacity in the Raiser's Edge, you will need to configure the Event Registration Form in NetCommunity to adhere to that capacity.

In The Raiser's Edge: 
  1. Log in to The Raiser's Edge
  2. Click Records Events
  3. Open the event record
  4. Click the General tab
  5. Enter a capacity
  1. Click Save and Close



Follow the steps below to configure the event registration form based off of what type of event registration form you use in NetCommunity. 

If using the Event Registration Form: 
Note: 
This feature was added for the new event registration form in Blackbaud NetCommunity Version 6.58.

  1. Edit the Event Registration form page
  2. Click the wheel icon for the event form part > Click Edit
  1. Click the Edit link for the event in the Add Events section
  1. Mark the checkbox for Use event capacity
Note: The event capacity that is set up on the event record in RE, will show to the right of the checkbox. 
  1. Enter a Sold Out Message
Note: The sold out message appears when the number of processed and unprocessed registrations on the NetCommunity page in The Raiser's Edge, and the number of in-progress registrations online are greater than the event capacity on the Raiser's Edge event record.
  1. Click Save for the event editor
  2. Click Save




If using the Classic Event Registration Form:
  1. Edit the classic event registration form (Similar to steps 1-2 above)
  2. Select the Event from the drop down menu in the Events from the Raiser's Edge section

  1. Click Save
