Query of Students:
- Create a record query
- On the criteria tab, expand Record
- Double click on Record type
- Set the Operator to equals and the Value to Student
- Select the desired output and sort information on the output and sort tabs
- Run the query, which will give you a list of all records with a record type of student
- Save this query
- Create a record query

- Select the desired output and sort information on the output and sort tabs
- Run the query, which will give you a list of all records with a record type of applicant
- Save this query
- From the Query module, go to File, Merge
- Enter your query of students in the Query 1 field, using the binoculars to search
- Enter your query of applicants in the Query 2 field, using the binoculars to search
- Select the Radio button next to Select records included in Query 1, but exclude records included in both queries
- Click Merge Now
- Enter output fields on the resulting query and run it
- This will provide you a list of students without an applicant view
