Confirm the URL works:

  1. Edit the newsreader part
  2. Copy the URL in the source field
  3. Open a new tab or window and paste the URL and try to navigate to that page
    • If the URL does not resolve, you need to troubleshoot this with the 3rd party RSS provider
    • If the URL does resolve, continue with the steps below

This could be caused by mixed content on the page. Please make the following changes to the news reader part.

  1. Edit the News Reader Part
  2. Change the URL from http to https
  3. Click the Save button

If the error persists and NetCommunity is hosted by Blackbaud, Click Chat with Support and reference this article. Please be prepared to share the following information with Support:

  • URL of the page with the Newsreader part
  • Username/Password to access NetCommunity
