Error: Data could not be saved. Timeout expired. The timeout period elapsed prior to completion of the operation or the server is not responding.

The client has reported many users receiving similar errors or others like this, shown in the attached screenshots, indicating general performance issues across CRM.
Download and install the latest patch, which contains all fixes from previous patches. If you are running an older version, download and install the latest version and then the patch.
