Sponsorship shopping cart contents are not expiring

A user comes to BBIS and performs a Child search. They select a child and payment frequency before they are asked to register or login. Let’s assume the user logged in and then they are redirected to the payment part. Suddenly they walk away from their computer for some reason. The user returns the next day and goes back to BBIS. They login and search for a child. Users select a child and click next. In the shopping card they see two child or get an error that the “Opportunity is unavailable”.

Apparently this occurs because shopping cart did not time out; the hold on the opportunity is not removed.  BBIS looks at the opportunity that was selected yesterday, but the opportunity had expired.

We currently have the Payment part opportunity configured to expire in 15mins

These transactions must be manually removed.
