In Luminate Online all web donations are linked to the donor via their unique email address - that is working as it should. Subsequently, each time the donor gives an additional web gift, he/she enters in their full address and gift information and if the donor has given a gift before, it attaches the donation to that record based on matching email addresses. However, it appears that if a donor enters a different address than the existing one in the Luminate Online database, it does not update the Luminate Online donor record with that information.
This is the defautl behavior but it can be changed. Keep in mind that this can cause problems if someone is sharing a credit card such as a child using a parent's credit card to make a donation but they do not live in the same place. There are two options that can be changed. We can either:
only change the address if the constituent is logged in (including auto login via an email link)
only change the address if the constituent is not logged in
