PERFORMANCE: Scheduled queue processes fail to run intermittently.

CRM users are able to configure queues to automate several tasks. Queue processes can be started manually, or set to run on a specific schedule. CRM users may notice that the queue process fails intermittently with the error below.

Error: Process terminated unexpectedly.
There could be various causes for this particular error message, including but not limited to the queue being interrupted by an application pool recycle.
We are currently evaluating this issue and will update this article when we have more information.
Possible Solution: If the queue process fails at the same time each day, it’s possible that it’s being killed by an application pool recycle. Changing the time the queue is scheduled to run may alleviate this issue.
