The Luminate Online donation forms will accept donations from outside the US. However, there are a few things that could block such a transaction including:
  • The donor's credit card may not make transactions in the United States. This most often happens if the issuing bank will not exchange the currency into US Dollars.
  • If your site is configured for address matching, the system may not be able to match up the non-US address properly. If a donor is receiving a decline, run a declined transaction report. If the decline code indicates that the problem is address verification matching (AVS), contact support and we can review your current settings.
  • If your payment processor handles your AVS and not Luminate Online, then you will need to contact them to review your AVS settings and make any changes.
    • Take note that the state drop down has an option for "None" which is appropriate for many international addresses.
    • You may have to configure donation forms to include Street 3 as an option.
    • If not already enabled, you will want to enable Street 3 in the Database Configuration section of Setup. If you are unable to access this section, please contact support to have it enabled.
    To enable Street 3 follow the steps below:
    1. Select Setup>Database Configuration
    2. Click Expand for the Address section
    3. For home_street3 Mark boxes:
      • use this field
      • user can see
      • user can change
      • admin can see
      • admin can change
    4. Click Save
