You may receive the error message: "Error: The credit card was not properly tokenized and the information needs to be re-entered" when processing recurring gifts or automatic pledge payments in batch.
This occurs when the credit card has expired. Often times, banks will still honor an expired credit card, but according to PCI Compliance, Blackbaud Payment Services must purge the expired credit card information six months after the credit card expires. This will cause the card to become untokenized.
You will need to contact the patron for their updated credit card information.
