Error: Unable to load datalist. Timeout expired. The timeout period elapsed prior to completion of the operation or the server is not responding

User can access the history of past Import jobs through the History tab of an import process but are finding that they receive the above time out error for a majority of import processes in version 3.0.

Download and install the latest patch, which contains all fixes from previous patches. If you are running an older version, download and install the latest version and then the patch.
