Error: A Blank Address is Added to Individual Record When Processing Online Admission Form

When processing an online admission form in the NetCommunity Plugin, you may see a blank address added to the parent's (Individual) record in the Education Edge.  You may also observe the address cannot be deleted.

If you are running the latest version of NetCommunity and see this issue, please chat with support and reference this article.

This is a result of address sharing and address gathering happening in an incorrect order.  Order will not matter for most fields but based on the way addresses and contact informations are stored in The Education Edge this is the best practice to avoid any data issues.

  • Student address (mapped to student)
  • Home phone (mapped to student)
  • Same address as student option
  • Parent address (mapped to parent)
    Only use if the Same address as student option is not marked
  • Parent home phone (mapped to parent)
    Only use if the Same address as student option is not marked
  • Parent contact information (mapped to parent)
    All other contact types email, cell, etc.
