You cannot do this directly from the Luminate Query module.  You can add the results to an already created non-interest group or create a new group but interest groups will not appear as an option. To work around this:
  1. Use Mail Merge to download the query results including at least the email address in the download file.
  2. In the downloaded file add a column for the interest ID or interest name. Note that that interest name is more error prone as if you accidentally type the name in wrong a new interest will be created instead of adding the constituent to an existing interest.
  3. Upload the file using the Custom Constituent Import.
The import will put the constituent records with a matching email address in the interest which will automatically put them in the opt-in interest group.
