Error: 'The list could not be loaded. The operation has timed out.' when trying to view Event Registrants

When attempting to view the Event Registrants for some Events, the data list times out with 'The operation has timed out' in Webshell or 'The list could not be loaded.  The operation has timed out.' in Smart Client.
Download and install the latest patch, which contains all fixes from previous patches. If you are running an older version, download and install the latest version and then the patch.
