There is often confusion on where the best place is to track Account Types: the Persona type drop-down or the Account Type UDF.
You should track Account Types (for example a Business Constituent or an Individual Constituent) with the Account Type User Defined Field (UDF) that is already in your database or using a similar one you create. The Account Type UDF is for storing the type of Account and the Persona field is for designating what type of Address is recorded there. For example, you would mark the Account type as Individual, and you would use the Persona Type to notate having both a personal and business address for the Constituent. We can query on the Account Type UDF easily, but it is more difficult to query on the Persona type.
