Troubleshooting both of these issues is similar. We must dirty the records to get them into The Raiser’s Edge plug in for resolution.

For Duplicated records in Luminate Online to do not have Duplicates in The Raiser’s Edge:

  1. First, compare the mapped ID’s to determine which Luminate Online record is properly linked to a record in The Raiser’s Edge. Take note of the record that is not linked to a The Raiser’s Edge
  2. On the unlinked (or incorrectly linked) record in Luminate Online, dirty the record by editing a mapped field, such as the middle name, maiden name, nickname, title, or street address
  3. When the record flows into the plug in, create a new The Raiser’s Edge record for it by processing it – we’re making a duplicate on purpose here so that we can merge it in The Raiser’s Edge, which will merge it in Luminate Online as well
  4. Merge the constituent records together in The Raiser's Edge

For records that appear to be improperly linked:

  1. Confirm that the records are not linked properly by reviewing the mapped ID’s. Check The Raiser’s Edge for any possible duplicates that may exist, and merge those as needed
  2. Dirty any records in Luminate Online that are mislinked by editing a mapped field, such as the middle name, maiden name, nickname, title, or street address
  3. When the record(s) flow into the plug in, select it and choose Record Linking > Unlink from the tool bar
  4. Select Yes to the confirmation message that appears
  5. Select Record Linking > Find Constituent from the tool bar
  6. Search for the correct constituent record in The Raiser’s Edge to be linked
  7. Select the constituent from the search results and click Link Constituent at the top of the window
  8. Select Yes to the confirmation message
  9. Process the record
