When adding a record to ResearchPoint via integration with The Raiser's Edge, ResearchPoint automatically attempts to sync the records. Doing so will update the ResearchPoint record to have the same number in the Lookup ID as in the Constituent ID field on The Raiser's Edge record. Users may receive the following error:
[Constituent] successfully added to ResearchPoint.
The following error prevented the record from syncing: The Raiser's Edge constituent ID XXX already exists as a Lookup ID for a constituent in ResearchPoint. Please resolve the conflict to allow this constituent record to sync.
After the error is resolved, go to the prospect's record and sync with RE.
