Subquery returned more than 1 value. This is not permitted when the subquery follows =, !=. <, <=, >, >= or when the subquery is used as an expresssion.

When attempting to commit a Batch of Web Donations, the exception: Subquery returned more than 1 value. This is not permitted when the subquery follows =, !=. <, <=, >, >= or when the subquery is used as an expresssion." is received.
This error will occur when a payment application in batch contains multiple Campaign splits to a single Designation.  The error occurs because a 1-to-1 relationship is required to generate the GL distributions for the Revenue record, and the system can't determine which of the Campaigns mapped to the Designation should be used.

To prevent a scenario where there are multiple campaign splits for a single designation in batch, confirm that your Designation record is configured in the following way:
  1. Access Designation record
  2. Select Campaigns tab
  3. If there multiple Campaigns linked to this designation, ensure that a "Date to" and "Date from" is entered for each Campaign, and that there is no overlap
In the event that these gifts originated from BBIS, it will be necessary to delete the batches so they can be re-downloaded and processed freshly with this new configuration.
