Constituent update batch freezes after resolving duplicates

After importing several constituents using a constituent update batch and resolving duplicates, the batch freezes for several minutes and returns the error message:

An unknown error occurred during the import the request. This could indicate a request to an invalid endpoint or a problem with the web server configuration.

 We are currently evaluating this issue and will update this article when we have more information.
