When logging in to The Raiser's Edge/Luminate Online integration plug in, users may find that the plug in takes some time to load and then returns an error:
Timeout expired. The timeout period elapsed prior to completion of the operation or the server is not responding
If users click OK to this error, then can still access the plug in. If no records are showing in the plug in, they can click the Refresh option to load them. The Refresh option may also return the same timeout error.
This issue is resolved with version 1.4.5513 of the Luminate Online plug in, released February 19th, 2015. Download and install the latest version and patch, if applicable.
Clicking Refresh more than once may allow all donations or constituent records to load. Sometimes, this error is caused by having thousands of updates in the plug in - the plug in is not designed to have tens of thousands updates pending. Processing all records may resolve this error. Additionally, try accessing the plug in when less (or no) users are logged in to The Raiser's Edge running processes.
