This exception occurs because the record in Raiser’s Edge has a contact type used multiple times and Education Edge does not allow duplicate contact types. For example: Cell: (800)555-4444 and Cell: (800)555-1234 both appear on an RE record.

To resolve the exception in Education Edge 7.87 patch 6 and higher, open the record in Raiser’s Edge and mark one of the duplicate contacts Inactive. The contact marked Inactive will not appear in EE and will only be retained in RE. If both contacts are valid and should appear in EE, change the contact type on one of the contacts.

To resolve the exception in Education Edge 7.87 patches 3-5, on the RE record, select a different contact type for one of the contacts if they are both valid. If one contact is no longer valid, delete it.

Note: This exception does NOT prevent other information on the record from synchronizing. All additional changes will still flow between the two systems for records that display the exception in the Integration Activity Report.
