To create teams through a Batch, first, you'll need to create a Batch Template:
  1. Navigate to Communities>Special Events>Friends Asking Friends>Kintera Thon
  2. Hover over your event and select Bookkeeping
  3. Click Batch Entry System
  4. Click New Batch Template
  5. Enter a Template Name and click Next
  6. Add the team_name field to the fields for batch; add any other desired fields and click Next
  7. If wanted, set default values and/or click Finish
     
After the Batch Template is created, add teams through a batch entry:
Starting Point: Bookkeeping>Batch Entry System
  1. Hover over the Template Name and select Batch Entry
  2. Select your Batch Entry Option:
    • New Key Entry Batch
      1. Use the Search icon in the left to search for an existing Individual in the database, or enter their information manually
      2. Enter the Team Name 
        • Note: The first individual on the list for the team will be the Team Captain
      3. Click Save & Validate and/or click Commit
      4. The batch will start to process and progress can be monitored through the Batch Entry
    • New .CSV Import Batch
      1. Mark "Check the box if your file contains a row with column header information (the import function will ignore the first row)." or leave unmarked if there is no header information
        • Note: The first row of the csv file should contain column header information. The columns in the file should match the 6 columns listed below and be in the same order.
      2. Click Browse... and select the CSV file
      3. Perform Field Mapping if wanted
      4. Click Submit
      5. In the Batch Entry screen, edit any information
        • Note: The first individual on the list for the team will be the Team Captain
      6. Click Save & Validate and/or click Commit
      7. The batch will start to process and progress can be monitored through the Batch Entry
