Released on June 15, 2014, Credit Card Updater is a service that is capable of updating expired or obsolete credit card information associated with constituent or gift records in The Raiser's Edge. This service finds and updates any new credit card numbers and expiration dates for credit card accounts stored within The Raiser’s Edge.

The Credit Card Updater is capable of generating a Control Report when it's run in the Data Health Center and will also add an Attribute to the records where credit card information has been updated.

The Credit Card Updater feature is only available to clients who use Blackbaud Merchant Services. From the portal, you can opt into Email Notifications to receive an email when your account receives updated card information in your Blackbaud software application. 

The Credit Card Updater feature can be found in the Data Health Center module of The Raiser's Edge when running version 7.92 and higher, but the software must be running version 7.93.5782, patch 7 or higher in order to run the service.
