First, create a Custom Account Query that contains just that donor (or handful of donors).
  1. Click Queries
  2. Select a category that you want to store this query in (I would suggest a category called Custom Account Queries)
  3. Select New Custom Account Query
  4. Name the Query Jane Doe*
  5. Set the Data Return Type to Accounts
  6. In Select Accounts, click Add
  7. Search for the account you want to report on
  8. Click the account name (repeat if there are multiple donors requesting their donation summary)
  9. Close the window
  10. Click Save and View Queries

Then, create a second Query that uses your first Query as Starting Criteria*. This will tell the Query that you only want to pull donations from the accounts in that Query. You can use this Query again if someone else requests this as well as the next calendar year. The only change you will be to update the Starting Criteria* to that other donor's Custom Account Query.
  1. Click Queries
  2. Select a Category that you want to store this query in
  3. Select New Query under the tasks menu
  4. Name the Query Individual Donor's Transactions Last Year
  5. Set the Starting criteria to Your Category / Jane Doe* - A
  6. Set the Data Return Type to Journal Entries
  7. Under MATCH select Match each criteria
  8. Select Commonly Used Fields from the Available Fields drop down menu and click Journal Entry Date
  9. Select Last Year from the drop down under Range Type
  10. Select Commonly Used Fields from the Available Fields drop down menu and click Individual Transaction Received
  11. Fill in Greater Than or Equal To/$.01
  12. Click Save and Preview
Finally, you can use that second Query to Create Documents from your year end Template. If you do not have a standard year end Template created, please see the help guides below:
