When viewing the BBNC Service line on a testconfig page, the following error may show: The underlying connection was closed: Could not establish trust relationship for the SSL/TLS secure channel
This will result in emails not sending from Blackbaud NetCommunity.
If NetCommunity is on version 7.0 and below, review [netcommunityURL]/testconfig.aspx. If NetCommunity is on version 7.1 and above, refer to Knowledgebase
This error is related to Windows Server 2003 and the SHA256 algorithm for SSL certificates. A hotfix for Windows Server 2003 was released to remedy this error and can be downloaded here.
