Relationship queries are helpful when you want to identify and work with specific relationship records. For example, let's say you want to mail to all current students for an upcoming event. The students do not have their own constituent records but are entered as relationships on the parents' records. To query the students for the mailing:

    • Create a relationship query
    • Filter on:

Constituent, Constituency, Constituency Code equals Current Parent
AND Individuals, Relationship one of Daughter, Son
AND Individuals, Education, Status equals Current Student

When saving the query, it includes only the relationships that meet the criteria

    • Click Mail, Labels
    • On the General tab, select Relationships in the Create for field
    • Click Include and search for the query above

The labels are addressed to the students and you're now ready to send the mailing.
