When users add a new email address or website to a constituent record, they noticed that the new phone is not hyper linked. Having a hyperlink in an email and/or website allows users to quickly send an email or go to the website. This occurs when the phone number type is incorrect in Configuration.
To resolve this issue:
Go to Config > Tables > Phone Types
Open the phone type in question
Change the Phone Number Type to 'Email Address' for email and 'Web Address/URL' for websites.
