When viewing the homepage in FAWeb, classes are not showing up under My Classes but they are accessible when clicking the Gradebook button on the menu bar, or vice versa. This can happen if the system date on the Web server is outside of the dates of the scheduled terms of the class.
To view the course, open Gradebook and change the marking column to one in which the course was scheduled.
If classes are missing from the homepage: The My Classes list on the Home page contains the classes the teacher is scheduled to teach. If there is no current term or if you select any academic year other than the current academic year from the dropdown menu in the settings tool, it will list all classes for which the teacher is scheduled in the selected academic year. However, if you select the current academic year, it lists only the classes for which the teacher is scheduled in the current term, based on your system date.
For example, if the current date is 12/02/11 and the selected academic year is 2009-2010, all classes the teacher was scheduled for during 2009-2010 will appear because that is not the current academic year. If the academic year selected is 2011-2012 and 12/02/11 falls within the Fall term, only classes scheduled in the Fall term will appear because the system date is within the date range of that term. Spring classes will not show on the homepage until the system date is within the date range of that term.
Watch out for overlapping terms. There may be a current term for the current academic year for which a teacher does not have any scheduled classes, so no classes will appear.
If classes are missing from the Gradebook page: The Class drop-down menu on the Gradebook page contains classes marked as graded on the course record for the selected marking column and scheduled during the term associated with the selected marking column. For marking columns not associated with a term, classes that are marked as graded in those marking columns will appear regardless of the term they are scheduled in. If a class does not have the marking column marked as graded on the course record for the academic year, it will not appear.
For example, if QT1 is selected as the marking column on the Gradebook page, and QT1 is associated with the Fall term, only classes that will appear are those that are scheduled during the Fall term and have QT1 marked as graded on the course record. A class not marked as graded in QT1 on the course record or not scheduled during the Fall term will not appear. Likewise, if FINAL is selected as the marking column and FINAL is not associated with a term, classes marked as graded for FINAL will appear regardless of the term(s) they are scheduled in.
