Gift Aid provides a great opportunity for donors to increase the value of their donations to a charity. A donor provides a declaration stating that they wish to make their gift or gifts tax claim eligible, and the charity can claim the tax for this donation through Inland Revenue thereby adding to the original gift amount.

The Gift Aid process works in The Raiser's Edge in the following way:
  • Configure the Tax Rate in The Raiser's Edge to ensure the Gift Aid is calculated correctly - BB343065
    • (The tax reclaim formula is detailed in BB76605)
  • Gift Aid Disqualification rules are configured to disqualify gifts based on user-defined preferences - BB262376
  • A Gift Aid Declaration is added onto the constituent record - BB736170
  • Run the Gift Aid report - BB736171
