A constituent attempted to unsubscribe using a link provided in an email, and received the following error, "Dear Constituent, This unsubscribe link is no longer valid. Try using the same link from a more recent email." How long do unsubscribe links remain valid?
Each unsubscribe link is unique to the constituent that receives it. With each new email message that is sent to a constituent, the unsubscribe link provided in the previous message becomes invalid. If a constituent reports that they have received this message, please instruct them to use the unsubscribe link provided in the most recent email they have received from the organization.
If they opted out via the unsubscribe link, which can be seen in their interactions, it will no longer function as they are opted out already.
