Ensure all users are logged out of FundWare.

  1. Log in to the server as the local administrator.

  2. Open DOS (this can be done from Start > Run > CMD)

Type in "osql -E" (Note the space between osql and -E and note that the commands are NOT case sensitive)
    Press ENTER
Type in: Use afwcore and press ENTER
Type in: Go and press ENTER
Type in: Delete from Central and press ENTER
Type in: Update Instance set instanceID=1 and press ENTER
Type in: Go and press ENTER

The script will show how many rows were affected. If this table is quite large, it can take a bit to delete the rows in it. Once the line shows how many rows were affected, type in "Exit" and press ENTER to get out of osql. Type in "Exit" and press ENTER to close DOS.

  3. Have the user post a journal entry.
If the above steps do not correct the error, complete the same task using a different Fundware Username.  If no error is encountered, the user reporting this problem has become corrupt and their Fundware username can be recreated
