Note: As of July 9, 2018, Blackbaud's School Management solutions (which include Core, onBoard, onCampus, onMessage, and onRecord) are utilizing a new top level navigation. This primarily affects users performing administrative tasks-constituent navigation for most parents, students, faculty, and alumni will remain the same. We appreciate your patience as we work to update our documentation. If you are seeing this message, the content of this solution is still being vetted for possible updates. Please refer to this mapping document if you need assistance finding a task in the new navigation.
From Ticket #38973
An Assessment Report card displaying only one grading period (ex: 1st Semester) uses a different template/layout than an assessment report card displaying multiple terms. So, Assessment Report cards displaying one grading period does not group grades and comments based on the Grades and Comments setting.
However, when an assessment report card is set to display two or more grading periods, the software automatically selects the Group Grades and Comments check box. This is because the software utilizes a different template/layout in order to display both terms.
If you want your 2nd term report card to display like the 1st term assessment report card, then you need to display only 1 term at a time on the report card. Displaying more than term triggers the report card to use a different template/layout.
